Installation: Ideal Sod not only delivers, but we'll install turf too. We install anywhere within our area and can do a flower bed or a football field in a day. Request a quote for turf installation when you call or email your estimate.

How to Order: Ideal Sod is harvested in either small rolls or big rolls.

Small Rolls are 16" wide x 81" long, equal to 9 sq. ft. or 1 square yard. Each roll weighs 40-45 lbs. Small rolls are delivered on a pallets of 500 square feet. This is the most common configuration. They are easier to handle and more convenient on steep slopes, tight corners or existing obstacles.

Big Rolls are 30" wide x 90 ft. long, equal to 225 sq. ft. or 25 square yards. Each weighs 1300 pounds. The big rolls are more often used on large areas (usually 10,000 sq. ft.+) where different equipment can move the rolls efficiently. We install our sod anywhere in our area and can do a flower bed or a football field in a day.

Grass Seed: Need to over seed an area damaged by animals, kids, gasoline spills, or a big party? Ideal Sod has the exact grass seed mix available! Grass seed is sold by the pound. Figure on 3.4 lbs of grass seed per 1,000 sq. ft.

Fertilizers: We stock three fertilizers for a thorough annual program based on our Northwest weather and soil conditions. These fertilizers are selected to keep your sod healthy. Fertilizers come in 50 pound bags that cannot be split.

      Spring      Early April use: 10-12-12
      Summer   May, June, September use: 25-3-3, plus iron
      Fall          November use: 12-8-16, plus iron
